Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has alleged that Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng orchestrated verbal abuse he experienced from a soldier during his visit to the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Mr. Kpebu claimed that a soldier insulted him by calling him a “stupid man” after he returned from giving an interview outside the OSP premises.

He explained that the confrontation started when a police officer asked him to stop the interview, prompting him to relocate. However, upon returning to the OSP yard, he said two soldiers approached him aggressively.

“One soldier said next time he won’t allow the interview, and another said if I come there again and do that, he will show me. The next thing I heard was him calling me a stupid man. I also replied him. What crime have I committed to deserve insults?” he recounted.

Mr. Kpebu insisted he did not obstruct any officer and believes the incident was orchestrated. “I believe the Special Prosecutor is involved. He is behind it,” he claimed.

The comments come after his arrest on Wednesday, December 3, for allegedly obstructing an OSP officer. He was later granted bail on conditions including providing landed property and a surety.
