The OT Linda Foundation, a non-governmental organization, has donated items to widows in parts of Accra and the Eastern Region.
The founder of the O. T. Linda Foundation, Prophetess O. T. Linda, noted that Christianity is all about giving and having compassion for the vulnerable and the needy.
Adult diapers, oil, rice, beverages, water, shirts, and washing powder were among the things donated by the foundation.
She also gave a seed capital of two thousand cedis [GH₵ 2,000] to some widows as start-up capital for their enterprises and provided valuable items and an amount of two thousand cedis [GH₵ 2,000] to an 80-year-old crippled widow. She fed 300 homeless people with assorted fried rice, drinks and water at Abofu-Achimota and through that most of them accepted Christ.
Speaking to some of the beneficiaries, most said, “We are indeed grateful to Prophetess Mama Linda and her team for this enormous support; we are short of words. God bless you, Mummy, for letting us laugh at last.”
Prophetess Mama Linda advised all pastors and individuals to love one another and be there for each other, as Christ has admonished Christians to do.
She said it was the doing of the Lord, and from her infancy, what she went through made her decide to help the needy at all times.
Finally, she thanked her supporters for their enormous contributions and added that this is the foundation’s humble beginning to help bring smiles to the faces of the poor and less privileged in society.
