The producers of Roofing Systems in Ghana are calling on the government to review or adjust the overburden taxations on the country’s import duty.
According to them, the woes of local businesses have increased due to the high cost of import duty.
The producers warn that the cost of goods on the market will increase further if nothing is done about the situation.
The concern follows the three new taxes including Income Tax (Amendment) Bill, Excise Duty and Excise Tax Stamp (Amendment) Bills and the Growth and Sustainability Levy Bill.
The Chief Executive Officer for Rosa Roofing Systems, Prince Hope speaking in a press conference, has called for the reduction to boost local businesses.
