The Deputy Minister for Communications and Digitalisation, Charles Acheampong, on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, inaugurated the expanded PAIX DATA Centre in Accra.
The event was organized by PAIX Ghana and Africa50. He commended the organizers for their commitment and investment in the country and their wonderful partnership with the Government to build Ghana’s digital economy, supporting job creation and enabling innovation.
He commented that “as Africa and the World embrace digital transformation to enhance their socio-economic development, the explosive growth and aggregation of data has been one of the relevant topics for discussions at international fora.
Data is now the ‘newly found Gold and Oil’ due to its high economic value it.
Data will drive decision making and where the resources should be prioritized to impact the livelihoods of people and economic growth of the country”.
