Papaye Fast Food, one of the leading fast foods in Ghana has opened its 9th branch in Adenta-Frafraha in the Adenta Municipality in the Greater Accra Region.
Speaking at the grand opening at Adenta-Frafraha last Friday, November 18, 2022, the Executive Chairman of Papaye Fast Foods, Dr Samir Kalmoni said Papaye has over the past 30 years served Ghanaians from Monday to Sunday.
Dr Kalmoni thwarted the success of the business with the cooperation of governments, the media, consumers, the general public and hardworking staff.
“Over the past 30 years, Papaye has been a good corporate citizen and adhered to all regulatory standards on health and safety, environmentally responsible, been corporate socially responsible and the torch bearer in the fast food sector in the tourism industry in Ghana,” Dr Kalmoni stated.
He said the goal of the business is to ensure the satisfaction of present customers and future generations and at all times strive to produce quality food without any compromise.
Dr Kalmoni added that Papaye has been recognized and awarded as the best restaurant by Ghana Tourism Authority many times, adjudged the best organization for implementing the 1% tourism tax and being a member of the prestigious Ghana Club 100 since its inception.
He linked the success of the company to teamwork adding that “you may have the individual stars in the world, but if the team don’t play together, the club won’t worth a dime.”
Dr Kalmoni said the contribution of Ghanaians made Papaye Fast Foods the household name in Ghana and called on residents around Adenta, Frafraha, Amrahia, Oyibi, Dodoma and its environs to continue patronizing their services.
On his part, the Public Relations Officer of Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Mr Jones Aruna Nelson said Papaye Fast Foods is one of the key partners in the hospitality chain value and has the distinction of being the pioneer in the fast food business.
Mr Nelson also thanked the company for employing at least 60% of the workforce from the communities they operate.
The group Chief Executive Officer of Papaye Fast Foods, Mr Divine Kwadwo Asiedu said it was the wish of the company to cook locally made food products but it got to a point where the demand was high but no supply “so we have to fall on foreign goods.”
Mr Asiedu said for chicken, the company needed at least 2000 a day but no poultry farmer in Ghana could meet the supply.
He said currently, Papaye operates in Osu, Tesano/Apenkwa, Sprintex, Tema, Lapaz, Awudome, Haatso, Kasoa and now Adenta-Frafraha.
Mr Asiedu revealed that the Company has plans to expand to Koforidua, Kumasi and Takoradi in the coming years.
