Luck has eluded a man after some unknown assailants who are currently on the run poured petrol and set him ablaze for snatching the girlfriend of a self -acclaimed man of God.
The victim, identified as Isaac Bortei was making preparation to get married to his new found love in the Nungua Municipality in the Greater Accra region when the sad event occured.
The report indicated that, the victim, William Bortei saw some strange messages on the mobile phone of his newly found love.
The report said, the lady in question truthfully told the victim that she had been in a relationship with the head pastor of Excellent Word Chapel International at Nungua Coco Beach, Pastor William Ntiamoah until she met her new love, Isaac Bortei.
Further details established that, the lady then went back to inform the head pastor of Excellent Word Chapel International that she wants to end the relationship because she has now found her man, insisting that the pastor will not marry her because he is already married.
Reports also said that, the pastor issued threats to the lady for several times until some thugs, believed to be hired by the pastor met him (the victim) and the lady and poured petrol and lighted matches on him at Nungua Cluster of schools.
In the process, Isaac Bortei who is currently receiving treatment was left to his fate until some good samaritans came to his rescue.
Meanwhile, police in Nungua say it is yet to begin full investigation into the matter.
