A pastor, Kelvin Abeka who posed himself as a junior pastor of the Holiness of Christ Zion Ministry has been arrested for allegedly exposing a pregnant woman to several health conditions after washing her private part with “salt water”.
In a video shared by Oman Channel, Prophet Ogyaba is heard saying, “He has gone to this woman to impose fear in her that when she goes to deliver she will die and so he will give her spiritual directions to avert that.
He ended up barging in on her in the bathroom and forcibly washed her private part with salt water.
During the interrogation, Pastor Abeka admitted to posing as Ogyaba’s junior pastor to gain the trust of unsuspecting persons.
He also sought to argue that he was under the direction of God.
The incident has caused outrage on social media, with many people calling for justice for the pregnant woman.
Upon hearing of the incident, the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection condemned the act and called for the arrest of Pastor Abeka.
In a statement, the Ministry said, “We condemn in no uncertain terms the actions of the so-called pastor who assaulted a pregnant woman under the guise of spiritual direction.
This is a clear case of abuse and exploitation, and we urge the police to take immediate action to bring the perpetrator to justice.”
