The body of former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Nigeria from London, following his death on Sunday.
The late president’s remains landed at approximately 1:59 p.m. and were accompanied by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and several family members.
President Bola Tinubu and members of Buhari’s family were present at the airport to receive the body.
From the airport, the body was transported to Daura, Buhari’s hometown in Katsina State, where preparations are underway for his final burial rites.
