Photos of abandoned 800 bed capacity Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Teaching Hospital have surfaced online.

The project which was started by Former President John Agyekum Kufuor to serve as the main hospital to the university, a referral hospital and serve as academic and medical research Center for the university has been left to rot.

Report says, when J. A Kuffuor left office, President Mills administration never touched it because it was not an NDC government who started it.

The KNUST Teaching Hospital project was also abandoned by the former president Mahama’s government when they took over from late president, Atta-Mills.

According to report, when Akufo Addo came to power hopes were high that the project which was started by Former President Kufour will be completed under his administration.

But, all efforts to complete the abandoned Hospital project has proven futile.

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is the second oldest university in Ghana and the most prestigious science and technology university in West Africa.

The dream university of almost all students who are offering science in the various High Schools in the country so completing the Teaching Hospital will serve the same purpose the UG Medical Center is offering.

Many have lamented why the current government spent almost 5 years in office but did nothing to continue the deserted project.
