The #FixTheCountry Movement, a non-partisan and non-political civic movement embarked on a demonstration today, August 4, 2021 in Accra.
Scores of protestors of the #FixTheCountry Movement gathered at the Obra Spot at Circle to begin their protest march over the severe economic hardships in the country.
The supporters, most of whom were clad in red and black, gathered and marched with placards through the streets of Accra [Farisco Left — TUC — Kinbu Senior High School – Centre for National Culture] and ended at the Independence Square.
The demonstrators asked Government to build a better Ghana where no person will have to lack their basic rights as a Ghanaian.
The group called on government to fix the problems facing the country including poor education, hike in fuel prices health, others.
Many were holding placards with various inscriptions including, “Politicians are behind jobs for the boys, Galamsey is unpatriotic behavior, How Far with NAM1, Change the 1992 Constitution, Justice for Kaaka, Fix The Country Mr. President” among others.
The Police honoured it promise providing adequate security arrangements for the “FIXTHECOUNTRY” demonstration.
