The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the interdiction of Adams Mahama Issahaku, headmaster of Piina Senior High School, following a directive from the Director-General.
The suspension comes in response to an ongoing investigation into allegations that food items were discovered in Mr. Issahaku’s official pick-up vehicle.
The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday, February 6, 2025, while he was travelling from Piina SHS to Wa.
According to GES, the interdiction is a precautionary measure to allow for a thorough investigation into the matter. Authorities have not yet disclosed the specific nature of the food items or the circumstances under which they were found.
GES has assured the public of its commitment to upholding accountability within the education sector and has urged all stakeholders to cooperate with the investigation. Further updates will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
