Police arrest 16 people for invading UTV studio

The Ghana Police Service (GPS), has arrested some 16 persons after they invaded UTV studio in Accra on Saturday, October 7, 2023, during a live show.

The Ghana Police Service (GPS), has arrested some 16 persons after they invaded UTV studio in Accra on Saturday, October 7, 2023, during a live show.

According to the United Showbiz host, unidentified persons stormed their studio, whiles the programme had started, to cause disruptions.

Meanwhile, a statement released by the police indicated that they quickly rushed to the scene to intervene, following a formal complaint by the Despite Media Group and the Ministry of Information.

“Following a complaint from the Despite Media Group and Ministry of Information that certain people had invaded the studios of U-TV this evening, the Police proceeded to the scene and arrested sixteen (16) persons in connection with the incident. ”

However, the suspects, according to the police are ” currently at the Police Station assisting in investigations.”
