Police arrest Fuesini Ibrahim who is alleged to have kidnapped and held a young lady for four days at Dalogu Yili, a suburb of Tamale Metropolis.
He has since been arrested by the IGP’s Special Operations Team and the young girl rescued and reunited with her family.
The operation followed a distress call the team received leading to the arrest of Fuseini at his residence, where the victim was found.
Both were taken to the Northern Regional Police Command, with the suspect handed over to the CID for investigations.
Police say the operation highlights their swift response to security threats, as patrols continue across the metropolis to ensure safety during the festive season.
