A woman has been arrested after she was captured on CCTV allegedly attempting to set fire to Pastor Agyemang Elvis’ Grace Mountain Church, popularly known as Alpha Hour.
The incident occurred at the Alpha Hour auditorium and has since sparked widespread public attention.
In a video that has gone viral, the suspect is seen moving around the church, sprinkling a flammable substance on chairs and other items inside the auditorium.
Moments later, a fire broke out, damaging some valuable property within the church.
Fortunately, the swift response of the church’s security team helped to contain the fire before it could spread further.
The woman was subsequently arrested and handed over to the Ghana Police Service, which has launched an investigation into the incident.
Authorities are currently working to establish the motive behind the attempted arson as investigations continue.
