Following the vicious assault on firefighters at Konongo Odumase Fire Station on February 11, 2024, the Konongo District Police Station has made significant strides by apprehending two suspects connected to the incident.
According to the report, Obaa Yaa was arrested shortly after the attack and subsequently granted bail.
However, recent developments on April 12, 2024, saw the arrest of Inusah Alhassan, also known as Zimbo, a 36-year-old illegal gold miner otherwise known as “galamseyer”, based on police intelligence.
Alhassan is currently in police custody, assisting with the ongoing investigation into the firefighters’ attack.
“There will be a joint press briefing between the Police and GNFS on Monday morning at Konongo before the suspects will be sent to court.” The report indicated
