Police begins investigation into viral video of man giving cigarette to minor

The Ghana Police Service has commenced investigation into a viral video where a man is seen administering a substance suspected to be a cigarette to a minor.

According to the GPS, “all efforts are being made to identify and arrest the suspect involved, and to ensure that the child is safe and protected”, a part of the police statement said.

It further urged the general public to assist with the investigations with the needed information to track the offender.

“We  urge members of the public who have any information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the man or the child to report to the nearest Police Station”,

In the circulating video, a man believed to he in his late 20s, was seen, handing a suspected cigarette to the minor. The video has sharply went viral, with social media enthusiasts, calling for the arrest of the suspect.
