A suspect linked to the 2024 general election shooting at Odupongkpehe Polling Centre in Kasoa is now in police custody.
Mujahid Suraj, known as “Mims,” had been on the run after allegedly firing a pump-action gun and wounding a voter during the polls.
His period of hiding ended on Saturday night, January 17, when Kasoa Divisional Command officers—acting on gathered intelligence—intercepted him as he returned to his home in Odupongkpehe Zongo.
Suraj is currently being processed by the authorities and will soon face prosecution in court.
