The Navrongo Divisional Police Command conducted a special security operation on December 18, 2025, as part of enhanced measures to ensure public safety during the Christmas festivities.
The exercise, which commenced at approximately 6:00 PM, covered various identified hotspots within Navrongo township. During the operation, police personnel arrested eight suspects in connection with suspected criminal activities.
The arrested individuals are: Mohammed Nasiru (35 years), Pwoawuvi Isaac (24 years), Roger Kansah (35 years), Akinkana Akanpiiba (30 years), Kingsley Adafula (22 years), Abraham Akanporise (25 years), Zakaria Mohammed (25 years), and Clinton Atinmoliga (25 years).
Items recovered during the operation include tramadol tablets, seven pairs of scissors, one mobile phone, one television set, and one motorcycle.
The suspects are currently in police custody and will be screened. Those found culpable will be arraigned before court for prosecution in accordance with the law.
The Ghana Police Service assures the public of its commitment to maintaining law and order throughout the festive season and urges residents to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
