Police gun down three suspected armed robbers at Opeibea

Three suspected armed robbers have been killed in a shootout with the police at Shiashie in Accra.

Three suspected armed robbers have been killed in a shootout with the police at Opeibea in Accra.

According to the Accra Regional Police Command the three persons, including a Cameroonian national, were gunned down by a team of police officers during an attempt to rob a businessman at Opeibea, near the Kotoka International Airport in Accra.

The operation also led to the arrest of two other suspects, Abdul Latif, 47, and Prosper Kokou, 27, who are also said to be connected to the attempted robbery.

The body of the suspects is yet to be identified by the Police. Bodies of the suspects have been sent to the Police Hospital for autopsy.
