The Ghana Police Hospital in Accra would shut down for fumigation exercise at all Departments.
The exercise scheduled to start from Friday, March 26 to Saturday, March 27, 2021 would be executed at the Laboratory, Pathology, Out-Patients’ Department [OPD], Administration, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, Dental Unit, Radiology and Quartermaster stores as well as the area of the General Administration.
A statement issued by DSP/Mr Yaw Nketia-Yeboah, Head, Public Affairs of Ghana Police Hospital said the affected areas would be opened on Sunday, March 28, 2021.
The statement also noted that the fumigation exercise would be extended to the Specialist Consulting Rooms, Theartre, Wards, Catering, Medical Stores and Annex Block from Friday, April 02, 2021 to Saturday, April 03, 2021.
Arrangements have been made for the provision of emergency services at the Specialist Block from Friday, March 26, 2021.

Planned Fumigation of Ghana Police Hospital as part of nationwide Exercise
As part of measures of the Ghana Health Service to fumigate and disinfect all health facilities in the country in the fight against the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Ghana Police Hospital will embark on a fumigation exercise of the medical facility from Friday March 26, 2021.
Laboratory, Pathology, Out-Patients’ Department [OPD], Administration, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, Dental, Radiology, Medical Records and Quartermaster Stores will be closed down for the fumigation exercise effective Friday, March 26, 2021 to Saturday, March 27, 2021.
The above-mentioned departments of the medical facility will open for resumption of its functions on Sunday, March 28, 2021.
Specialist Consulting Rooms, Theartre, Wards, Catering, Medical Stores and Annex Block will be shutdown from Friday, April 02, 2021 to Saturday, April 03, 2021. These departments will resume activities on the next day Sunday, April 04, 2021.
Arrangements have been made for the provision of emergency services at the Specialist Block from Friday, March 26, 2021.
The Management of the Ghana Police Hospital appeals to members o the general public and clients to take note of this fumigation exercise in the hospital and cooperate with the facility for the provision of the needed healthcare services.
