The Oti Regional Police Command has successfully intercepted a substantial shipment of suspected narcotics hidden within a long trailer at Dambai in the Oti Region.

The operation, conducted on February 10, 2026, was executed based on intelligence gathered by the police.

According to a statement issued by the police and signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police John Nchor, the Oti Regional Police Public Affairs Officer, officers stopped and searched a DAF Long Trailer with registration number GW 1943-09. Initially, the trailer appeared empty; however, a thorough inspection revealed modifications featuring secret compartments sealed with six metal plates.
