The Ghana Police Service is on a manhunt for two gunmen who fatally shot two off duty Police officers sitting at East Trasacco in Accra.
In a brief statement from the Police on Thursday, May 2, 2024, said the two off-duty officers were sitting in front of their private residence at about 6:00 pm when the two gunmen shot them.
The Police further revealed that the gunmen sped off on a motorbike after the act but did not take anything from the officers.
An intelligence-led operation according to the Police to get the suspects arrested is currently ongoing.
This incident has resulted in serious questions on the lawlessness portrayed by some individuals in the country as well as the safety of others.
Earlier this week a military officer who is said to have accompanied a friend to inspect a piece of land at Kasoa Millennium city in the Central region was also shot and killed.
However, the Police have arrested the suspect and is currently assisting with investigations.
