The Ghana Police Service has announced the saddened death of one of its gallant officers.
According to a post cited from the police administration’s Facebook handle, the officer who was instantly killed was involved in a scuffle with a violent civilian in the Bono region who in the process, Stabbed the man in black to death.
They further indicated that, violent and aggressive suspect was also subsequently shot and killed in the process.
Read full statement from the police;
“The Police Administration, with a heavy heart, wishes to announce that a Police officer has been stabbed to death and in the process the violent suspect was also shot and killed.
The sad incident happened in the Bono Region and further details will be given after we have duly informed the family and the next-of-kin of the late officer”
Meanwhile, the police has respectfully urged the public, especially the Media not to put the name of the officer and any sensitive details about the incident in the media until the family is duly briefed.
