A fire outbreak claimed the lives of a police officer assigned to Apromase in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region, along with his wife and child.
According to sources, the Officer, his wife Millicent Agyei, and their infant were all asleep when their apartment caught fire, losing their lives in the process.
The policeman, identified as Police Sergeant Owusu Asante Baafi, was completely burned.
He belonged to the Ghana Police Service’s Anti-Robbery Unit.
Residents in the Ashanti region said the fire broke out in one of the apartments at about 1:00 am on January 16 and spread to the family’s room.
