The Ghana Police Service has commended the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and their supporters for their cooperation during the final rallies held in Accra on December 5, 2024.

The peaceful conclusion of these events marked a significant milestone in the lead-up to the general elections.

The police also extended their gratitude to the general public, especially motorists, for their patience and understanding during traffic diversions and road closures put in place to manage the rallies effectively.

Acknowledging the efforts of its officers, the Police Administration praised the dedication and professionalism of personnel deployed to maintain peace and security throughout the events.

As the country prepares to head to the polls tomorrow, December 7, 2024, the police urged political parties, supporters, and all stakeholders to uphold discipline, unity, and patriotism to ensure a peaceful election.

Reaffirming their commitment to safeguarding the democratic process, the Ghana Police Service assured the public of their readiness to maintain law and order during the voting period.
