A woman in her late 30s, identified as Mama Ahama, was found dead at Dzodze in the Ketu North Municipality on February 20, 2026.
The deceased was discovered unresponsive at around 3:00 a.m. at the residence of Mr. Christian Ahiadzro, 53, in Dzodze Kuli. Mr. Ahiadzro reported the incident to the police, who conducted preliminary examinations and found no visible signs of physical violence on the body.
Sampson Adovor, Assembly Member for the Ablorme Electoral Area, confirmed to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the deceased and Mr. Ahiadzro were known to have been in a relationship. He noted that Mr. Ahiadzro is a native of Ablorme, while the deceased hailed from Kuli Dzogbefime, both communities within Dzodze.
The body was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital, where Dr. Emmanuel Bello pronounced her clinically dead. Police investigations are ongoing, with Mr. Ahiadzro assisting authorities. The body has been deposited at Ho Teaching Hospital pending autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
