The Ghana Police Service has initiated a thorough investigation into the violent assault of a student from Obrachire Senior High Technical School by students from Swedru School of Business during the District Schools Athletics Games.

The incident, which occurred on Thursday, February 19, in Agona Swedru, involved a clash between students from the two institutions, resulting in a student from Obrachire being attacked by a group of SWESBUS students who allegedly used stones and sticks to inflict harm.

Reacting to the viral video, the police condemned the incident and assured the public that all perpetrators will be identified and brought to justice, with updates to be provided in due course.

“The Ghana Police Service has sighted a viral video in which a group of people are seen pelting stones at a student.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and further developments will be communicated in due course.

The Service strongly condemns the violence and assures the public that all perpetrators will be identified and brought to justice,” the brief statement issued by the Service noted.
