The Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with other security agencies, has continued its efforts to maintain law and order across the country during the post-election period.
Assistant Commissioner of Police(ACP) Grace Ansah-Akrofi, briefing the media rhis morning at the NESFT press Centre stated that, over past 24 hours, no major incidents have been recorded, a testament to the intensified patrols and deployment of personnel in communities nationwide.
As part of efforts to address post-election disturbances, the police have arrested 17 additional suspects within the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of arrests to 123.
These individuals are being processed and will face justice.
In a significant breakthrough, an intelligence-led operation led to the recovery of a stolen Nissan pickup belonging to Honourable Honourable Ursula Owusu.
The vehicle, which was taken from her office on Monday, December 9, 2024, is now in the custody of the Dansoman Police.
Investigations are ongoing to apprehend those responsible for the theft.
The police are also on a manhunt for individuals involved in vandalism incidents earlier this week in Yilo Krobo and Wenchi in the Eastern Region.
Authorities have issued a strong warning to those on the run: they cannot evade justice indefinitely.

They specifically praised the police’s emphasis on engagement and de-escalation, which have helped stabilize the situation.
