Justice Siaw Mandela, a political analyst, has awarded President John Dramani Mahama a commendable score of over 80% for his accomplishments within the 120-day social contract with Ghanaians before the December 2024 general elections.

Justice Siaw Mandela remarked that President Mahama has demonstrated exemplary governance, fulfilling over 80% of the commitments outlined in the 120-day contract with the citizens of Ghana.

He emphasized that the President, along with his appointees, holds a four-year mandate and should not become complacent despite the accolades received for their performance in the initial 120 days.

He noted that the initiatives within this period are fundamental aspects of governance, and with a robust foundation established, the President must remain vigilant and ensure his appointees are held accountable to meet the expectations of Ghanaians throughout their four-year term. He also urged the general public to contribute valuable ideas to propel the nation forward.

Justice Siaw Mandela underscored that President John Dramani Mahama is offering a novel approach and dimension to governance in his second tenure, characterized by his transparent and accountable management of the nation’s affairs.

He remarked that the prevailing state of transparency within President Mahama and the NDC’s administration, if sustained, will restore public confidence in politicians and bolster effective governance and decision-making among the electorate.

He further advised NDC appointees and the President to remain unswayed by the flattering comments regarding their administration in the initial 120 days, underscoring that governance is not confined to just 120 days. Therefore, they must diligently strive to foster development and ensure effective governance throughout the entire four-year mandate entrusted to them.
