The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Emmanuel Congregation in Dansoman, has generously donated GHC 20,000 to the Renal Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
This charitable act was part of the activities marking the church’s 50th-anniversary celebrations, which included visiting the hospital to spread Christmas cheer.
Rev. Dr. Joseph Kofi Antwi explained that the Presbyterian Church of Ghana is the third-largest provider of health services in Ghana, with a long history of supporting healthcare initiatives.
He expressed his hope that this donation would bring joy to the patients and staff at Korle Bu.
Dr. Harry Akoto, Ag. Director of Medical Affairs, received the donation on behalf of the hospital’s Chief Executive and expressed gratitude for the support.
Professor Vincent Boima, Head of the Renal Unit, assured that the funds would be used to benefit patients undergoing dialysis, bringing smiles to their faces.
