President John Dramani Mahama has unveiled an ambitious plan to transform the Asutsuare Training Camp into a world-class military training facility, significantly bolstering Ghana’s security preparedness.

This visionary initiative is part of the President’s comprehensive commitment to strengthening the country’s military infrastructure, underscoring his administration’s dedication to enhancing the military’s operational capabilities.

During a courtesy call by the newly appointed Chief of Defence Staff, Major General William Agyapong, and other senior security officials, President Mahama reaffirmed his government’s commitment to increasing budgetary allocations for the military.

This strategic move will enable the acquisition of advanced platforms and assets, thereby elevating the military’s operational effectiveness.

President Mahama encouraged the security chiefs to explore innovative financing mechanisms to upgrade infrastructure, particularly troop accommodation.

He emphasized his unwavering support for the military, stating, “I will be by your side every step of the way.” This assurance underscores the President’s resolve to create a modern and effective military capable of protecting Ghana’s citizens from emerging threats.
