In a significant leadership change, the John Dramani Mahama-led government has appointed Prof. Ransford Edward Van Gyampo as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA).
Prof. Gyampo, an esteemed academic from the University of Ghana’s Political Science Department, officially assumes this pivotal role, succeeding Kwesi Baffour Sarpong, who had been appointed by the Akufo-Addo administration in December 2023.
This appointment, confirmed through a formal letter delivered by Dr. Calistus Mahama, Executive Secretary to the President, marks a new chapter in the leadership of the GSA. Mr. Sarpong has been instructed to transfer his duties to Prof. Gyampo without delay, ensuring a smooth transition.
