Dr. Bryan Acheampong is a visionary leader, accomplished public servant, and innovative entrepreneur with a strong commitment to national development. A trailblazer in technology-driven solutions, he has founded pioneering businesses that streamline public systems and generate employment. His philanthropic work through the Bryan Acheampong Foundation (BAF) has touched thousands of lives across health, education, and livelihood development.

Whether in Parliament, mentoring youth, or supporting scholarship recipients, Dr. Acheampong believes true leadership is about lifting others. His life reflects a balance of academic achievement, political service, entrepreneurial innovation, and deep compassion.

Early Life & Education

Born on November 27, 1972, in Suhum, Dr. Acheampong hails from Nkwatia in the Kwahu East District. He began his education at Achimota Primary School and later attended Presbyterian Boys Secondary School (PRESEC), Legon.

After his national service, he volunteered at the Tom-Ni Orphanage in Kwahu Obomeng—an early sign of his lifelong dedication to service. He earned a bachelor’s degree and MBA from Johnson and Wales University in the U.S., later obtaining a PhD in Information Systems from the University of Ghana and a law diploma from the University of Law (UK). He has also completed professional certifications at MIT and the University of Ghana Business School.

Dr. Acheampong’s academic record equips him with a multidisciplinary perspective. His qualifications include:

PhD in Information Systems – University of Ghana
PhD (candidate) in Security and Intelligence – University of Buckingham
MPS in Applied Intelligence – Georgetown University, USA
MA in Security and Intelligence – University of Leicester, UK
MBA – Johnson and Wales University, USA
LLM in Professional Legal Practice – University of Law, UK
Postgraduate Diploma in Law – University of Law, UK
Certified member – Security Institute, Association of Information Systems
Post-call student – Ghana School of Law.

Political Career

Dr. Acheampong is currently in his fourth term as MP for Abetifi and is a respected member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He has served as Minister of Food and Agriculture, Minister of State at the Ministry of National Security, and Minister of the Interior. He also played a key role at the party’s headquarters under the late Jake Obetsebi Lamptey.

His influence extends to committees like Foreign Affairs and Defence. Known as a listener and strategist, he blends grassroots engagement with policy vision, always focused on national progress.

Business & Entrepreneurship

As a serial entrepreneur, Dr. Acheampong has made impactful investments in information technology, agriculture, hospitality, real estate, and media. His ventures aim to create jobs and foster sustainable economic growth.

Philanthropy: The Bryan Acheampong Foundation (BAF)

Through BAF, Dr. Acheampong has invested over GHS 3 million annually in initiatives that drive long-term development. Notable achievements include:

Education: Scholarships for over 200 students; school renovations; teacher training support.
Health: NHIS registration for 20,000+ people; maternal health packages; 100+ boreholes.
Livelihoods: Gari processing center in Nteso; vocational training for over 600 youth; LEAP support for 150 households.
COVID-19 Support: GHS 820,000+ in relief and logistics.
Women & Youth Empowerment: Equipment donations and startup capital for artisans and traders.

Publications
