A 48-year-old quack doctor, identified as Hanson Osei, who operated a clinic in his chamber and hall room without a medical license has been arrested by the police.
It is alleged that Mr. Osei operated the ‘illegal’ clinic for over 12 years without any authorized approval.
It is reported that he boldly admitted to treating people without any training from a recognized medical school during police interrogation.
According to the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana (MDC), four individuals have been arrested for unlicensed medical practice between 2024 and the third quarter of 2025 while several others remain under investigation.
