Head coach of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton has handed Hamburger SV’s Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer a late call up to replace Inaki Williams, who will miss Ghana’s upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier match against Madagascar.
Chris Hughton earlier included Inaki in his squad for the game last month, but the player announced his withdrawal due to an injury he has been nursing for weeks ago.
Königsdörffer will join the squad in Accra when they commence camping on June 12 ahead of the qualifier.
The Hamburger SV winger has made just one appearance for the Black Stars and is yet to register a goal.
The Black Stars will travel to Madagascar for the match which has been scheduled for June 18, 2023.
