A cybersecurity expert, Mr. Samuel Kwame Adomako, CEO of Narrowlite International Company, has warned individuals against recording videos of themselves engaging in intimate activities, citing potential legal consequences.
According to Mr. Adomako, recording such videos either a consent is given or not is a violation of privacy and may be punishable under cybersecurity laws
He emphasized that leaking these videos can cause significant harm to the individuals involved, and aside from the shame it brings to the victims, it is also against the law.
Mr. Adomako also noted that the person who leaks the video to the public can also be arrested, emphasizing that sometimes it’s not the partners who leak the video, but rather unauthorized individuals such as Electronics repair technician who gain access to personal devices.
To avoid potential disputes or legal issues, Mr. Adomako advises individuals to prioritize cybersecurity and data protection in their personal relationships.
He made this disclosure during an interview with Adwenpa-Hene Kofi Mensah on the morning show Anopa Nsempa.
Mr. Adomako emphasized the need for the National Cybersecurity Authority to take a more proactive role in addressing these issues.
He believes that the authority’s laws should be more stringent to deter individuals from engaging in such activities.
To effectively curb this menace, Mr. Adomako advocates for exemplary punishment for offenders, suggesting that some individuals should be used as examples to serve as a deterrent to others. .
