The Member of Parliament for Dormaa East, Rachael Owusuaa has issued a cautionary appeal to female junior high school final year students within her jurisdiction, urging them to abstain from premarital relations in order to prevent teenage pregnancies. She advises the male students to refrain from drug abuse and addiction, thereby safeguarding their prospects for a promising future post-education.

In an interview with the media following her generous donation of 1,328 mathematical sets to all BECE candidates in her constituency, she emphasized that teenage pregnancies and substance abuse have considerably derailed the future aspirations of numerous young individuals.

Thus, she implores the students to shun these detrimental behaviors both before and after completing Junior High School, and to diligently prepare for their future to ensure a more luminous path ahead.

The Dormaa East District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Osei Owusu King, urged the students to eschew examination malpractices, encouraging them to apply themselves diligently to their studies and maintain focus, as external examinations are akin to classroom assessments.

He assured them that the questions posed would not differ from their lessons, thus advising them to cultivate a close relationship with their textbooks and study assiduously to facilitate their success in examinations.

Phillip Adom Danso, the Dorma East District Director of Education, conveyed his gratitude to the Member of Parliament and her team for the timely distribution of the mathematical sets. He remarked that this initiative will greatly assist many students in acquiring fundamental proficiency in utilizing these sets, which, in his view, will significantly bolster their prospects of successfully passing their exams.
