Former Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, Prof Frimpong Boateng, has suggested that the best way the New Patriotic Party (NPP) can rebuild the party is to remove the executives who can’t speak good English.
He said removing those executives will help the party to achieve its aim and work hard to reclaim power.
Speaking in an interview, Prof. Frimpong Boateng lamented why some people went to good schools but can’t speak good English.
“You can’t go to a good school and still can’t speak good English. Party executives who can’t speak good English should be removed from the party.” He said.
“The Party needs to be rebuilt and become more attractive so it is imperative to take that drastic decision to remove all the party folks who can’t speak good English.” Prof. added.
Tension arose within the NPP after the party threatened to expel Prof. Frimpong Boateng.
This comes after the former Minister made a comment that the party seems unhealthy.
Among other things, Prof. Boateng said the party executives bribed people and twisted others’ arms to elect a flagbearer.
“During the 2024 elections, they twisted people’s arms, bribing delegates, and intimidating others to get a flagbearer. This is the beginning of corruption and this should not be allowed in any serious party” He said.
“We lost the election badly, but we refused to deal with the issues that led to the abysmal performance and we still want to go in there.” He added.
