The Government of Ghana has directed that all national flags, which were flown at half-mast in honour of victims of last week’s tragic military helicopter crash in the Ashanti Region, be restored to full mast following their state funeral.

The directive took effect immediately after the solemn ceremony, held to pay final respects to the victims, who lost their lives when a Ghana Air Force helicopter went down during an official operation.

Government officials, security chiefs, political leaders, and grieving families gathered at the funeral to honour the fallen, describing them as gallant individuals who dedicated their lives in service to the nation.

The return of flags to full mast signals the end of the official mourning period, though tributes have continued to pour in for the victims and their families.
