The General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah has been granted bail by the Accra High Court.
The court granted him bail in the sum of Ghc200,000 with two sureties.
This was after the court upheld an appeal by his lawyer, Gary Nimako Marfo, against a decision of an Accra Circuit Court not to grant him bail.
Background
The Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah was remanded into police custody on September 13, 2021.
Owusu Bempah and his four other junior pastors, Mensah Ofori, Michael Boateng, Frederick Ohene, and Nathaniel Agyekum were together charged with six counts.
He was charged with threat of life for threatening to kill Patricia Oduro Koranteng, aka Nana Agradaa as well as offensive conduct to the breach of peace, made his first appearance before the Accra Circuit Court on Monday, along with four other members of the church.
They were arraigned before court amidst a heavily armed police escort.
