Rev. Owusu Bempah’s case adjourned to Jan 19

An Accra Circuit Court has adjourned the case involving the General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministry Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah to the 19th of next month.

An Accra Circuit Court has adjourned the case involving the General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministry, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah to the 19th of next month.

The adjournment is due to the fact that the Presiding Circuit Court judge Evelyn Asamoah is on leave.

Owusu Bempah and seven others have been given eleven charges but they have all pleaded not guilty to the charges of Conspiracy to Commit Offensive Conduct to the Breach of Peace, Conspiracy to Commit Threat of Death and threat of Death.

They have however been granted bail in the sum of GH₵100,000 each.

Owusu Bempah, six others slapped with 11 new charges

The General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministry Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah and six others have been slapped with 11 new charges after they were earlier discharged and rearrested.

The other six are Mensah Ofori, Bright Berchie, Kwabena Nyarko aka Matata, Nana Acheampong, Nana Brown and Kwame Amoh.

They have all pleaded not guilty to charges ranging from Conspiracy to commit offensive conduct Conducive to the breach of peace, offensive conduct to the breach of peace, Conspiracy to commit threat of death and threat of death.

They have each been granted bail in the sums of GHc100, 000 each.

The court presided over by Her Honour Mrs Evelyn Asamoah has ordered the prosecution to file disclosures by December 3.

Rev. Owusu Bempah and two others were earlier this morning discharged but were immediately rearrested for the fresh charges.
