Rock City Hotel has once again demonstrated its commitment to community well-being through a free prostate and breast cancer screening exercise organized for members of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Ghana.

The initiative formed part of the hotel’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at promoting health awareness and early detection of life-threatening diseases.

The screening brought together medical professionals who conducted comprehensive examinations, consultations, and educational sessions on cancer prevention and early intervention. Participants also benefited from personalized health advice on lifestyle changes that can significantly reduce cancer risk.

Speaking on the initiative, the Programs Manager at Rock City Hotel, Yaw Larbi Addo emphasized that health is a cornerstone of productivity and happiness—values that align closely with the hotel’s mission of enhancing lives beyond hospitality.

“At Rock City, we believe true hospitality extends beyond our hotel walls. It’s about caring for people and communities. Supporting cancer awareness and early detection is one of the most meaningful ways we can make a difference,” the statement noted.

The free screening exercise not only provided crucial medical support but also helped spark conversations around the importance of regular health checkups, especially among professionals who often overlook preventive healthcare due to busy schedules.

PMI members expressed deep appreciation to Rock City Hotel for the thoughtful gesture, describing it as both timely and impactful. Many participants acknowledged that such initiatives contribute significantly to national efforts to combat the rising incidence of cancer in Ghana.

This event adds to Rock City Hotel’s growing list of community-centered projects under its Goodwill and CSR initiative, which continues to champion causes in health and community development. Through these programs, the hotel reaffirms its dedication to creating a positive social impact while setting a benchmark for corporate responsibility within the hospitality industry.
