As part of their 30th-anniversary celebrations, the Royal Ladies from Royalhouse Chapel International, led by Rev. Mrs. Rita Korankye Ankrah, made a significant donation to bring joy to pediatric cancer patients at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
Emphasizing the importance of giving back, Mrs. Korankye Ankrah noted that their anniversary would lose its meaning without supporting the children battling cancer.
The Royal Ladies Foundation donated GH₵ 100,000 alongside essential medical equipment, including beds, mattresses, wheelchairs, and other supplies, to the Childhood Oncology Unit.
The donation also included food, drinks, and children’s Bibles, aiming to bring comfort and relief to young patients and their families.
Rev. Mrs. Korankye Ankrah highlighted that, as mothers, they feel compelled to help children suffering through no fault of their own, adding that these young patients should not have to face their struggles alone.
She assured the hospital that this was only the beginning, and the church would continue supporting the unit in the future.
Dr. Frank Owusu Sekyere, Acting CEO of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, expressed deep gratitude for the Royal Ladies’ generous support.
He thanked the foundation on behalf of the hospital, appreciating their commitment to providing ongoing aid for children’s healthcare needs.
He assured them that the donation would be put to the best use, benefiting underprivileged pediatric cancer patients and enhancing their care.
