The Ghana Navy Supply Base (GNSB) in Takoradi has officially inducted Commander Sabina Dennison as its new Commanding Officer (CO).
Commander (Cdr) Sabina Dennison has assumed office as Commanding Officer (CO) Ghana Navy Supply Base (GNSB) during a handing and taking over ceremony at the Base in Takoradi on Friday 7 February 2025.
She succeeds Cdr Prosper Cudjoe Korto who handed over the Regimental Plaque symbolizing authority.
The Guest of Honour for the occasion, Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Logistics at the General Headquarters, Rear Admiral Samuel Agyenim-Boateng was confident she would deliver up to the task.
The outgoing CO said he was driven by the mindset that GNSB was the only home of the Supply Department, and challenged himself to leave a footprint that could add value to the Unit.
In her acceptance speech, the incoming CO expressed her gratitude to High Command for entrusting her with the responsibility which forms a significant milestone in her career.
She acknowledged the remarkable leadership of her predecessor whose tenure had been marked by tremendous infrastructural developments and operational efficiency.
Cdr Dennison pledged to do her best to build upon achievements in the Base with the support of personnel of the Unit.
The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Western Naval Command, Commodore (Cdre) Emmanuel Ayesu Kwafo, FOC Naval Logistics Command, Cdre Eric Osei, Deputy Chief Staff Officer Policy and Plans, Cdre Faustina Boakyewaa Anokye-Boakye were present.
Also present were Base Commander, Air Force Base Takoradi, Air Cdre Kwabena Kissiedu Manukure Atiemo, Director Procurement and Contract Management, Naval Captain Cecilia Amoo-Welsing, and Takoradi Port Security Manager, Naval Captain Michael Duvor.
