A multi-vehicle accident involving five vehicles, including one belonging to Bishop Salifu Amoako, Founder and General Overseer of Alive Chapel International, occurred on Tuesday, December 24, near the Tesano-Papaye area in Accra.
The crash, reportedly caused by a truck suffering a brake failure, resulted in extensive damage to all vehicles involved. Emergency responders confirmed that, remarkably, no injuries were reported despite the severity of the collision.
Eyewitnesses stated that the truck driver fled the scene immediately after the crash, leaving the damaged vehicle behind. Authorities have since launched an investigation into the incident and are working to locate the driver.
Bishop Salifu Amoako was not harmed in the accident. However, this marks the latest in a series of unfortunate events associated with the Bishop in recent weeks. His family was recently affected by a separate tragic incident at East Legon, where his 16-year-old son was involved in an accident that claimed the lives of two young girls.
Officials are examining the cause of the truck’s brake failure as part of efforts to ensure accountability and prevent similar incidents in the future.
The accident temporarily disrupted traffic in the Tesano area, but normalcy was restored after the wrecked vehicles were towed away. Authorities have appealed to the public for information on the whereabouts of the truck driver.
