Sam Pyne gets 94.8% confirmation as KMA boss

The President’s nominee for Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Mr. Samuel Pyne popularly known in the political circles as ‘Sam Pyne’ has overwhelmingly been confirmed by members of the assembly.

The President’s nominee for Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Mr. Samuel Pyne popularly known in the political circles as ‘Sam Pyne’ has overwhelmingly been confirmed by members of the assembly.

58 Assembly Members out of 60 were present at the voting with 55 members voting ‘YES’ representing 94.8% as against three members who voted ‘No’ also representing 6.2%.

The nominee who until his nomination was the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The election which was peacefully conducted by the Ashanti Regional Director of the Electoral Commission (EC), Mr. Benjamin Bannor-Bio.

The event attracted many dignitaries across the country including Ministers of State, Members of Parliament, party officials among other onlookers.
