Black Stars defender Baba Rahman has disclosed that he is recovering after he collapsed during a cup match yesterday.
The 29-year-old suffered a severe head injury while playing for his club, Paok, in a cup match against Panathinaikos, which led to him becoming unconscious after he went in for a challenge, which resulted in a head collision with the opponent.
However, after a swift response from the medical team, he was taken to the hospital for further assessment.
Meanwhile, in a social media post on Thursday morning, the left full back disclosed that he is recovering quickly.
“Hello, just wanted to thank everyone for their concern and well wishes in the last 12 or so hours. Thankfully I’m recovering well and scans have shown no major damage. I’d like to also say a big thank you to Georgios Vagiannidis for personally checking in on me at the hospital. It was a tough night but I’d be back running up and down again soon,” he wrote.
