Some aggrieved caterers of the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) are demanding the immediate removal of the National Coordinator, Dr. Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah over unpaid arrears.
The unhappy caterers picket School Feeding Programme Secretariat on Monday morning to demand their non-paid salaries.
They accused Dr. Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah of ineffectiveness and for also not heeding to counsel.
According to the aggrieved caterers of the Programme, an unlawful deductions was also done without any explanation.
“The woman called Mrs. Quashigah doesn’t respect us. She sees us as nobody so she doesn’t listen to our advice. She should just resign and leave the system else our next protest will be uneasy for her to handle.
She should give us our money or tell us why she reduced our payments. If it is about non-cooking days, she should come out and tell us. We only saw the post on various platforms from the District Coordinators without any detail explanations. We know the District and Regional Coordinators are in bed with the National to punish us this way.
They feel that we cannot come together and fight but I’m telling them today that I will solely fight for the others so they get their money. If this won’t work then I’m telling our father Akufo-Addo to tell us to stop the school feeding programme and he should be ready to pay all our arrears and all those they deducted unlawful. We’re TIRED. They know me because I’m everywhere. Even if I will relocate, I will go to Afghanistan.” A resentful caterer expresses worry
The secretariat is yet to respond to the demand of the caterers.
