Antoine Semenyo believes his goal for Ghana yesterday against Angola, is good for him to build his confidence.
The Bournemouth striker scored late for the Black Stars to secure all three points for the team, as his first goal for Ghana.
Quizzed about how important getting his first goal for the national team is to him in his post-match press conference, he said it is very important for his confidence for both country and club.
“It is obviously a good thing, as a striker you want to score, so I haven’t scored in a while and is good for confidence so I know that leading up to the next game and when I go back to club football, I know that have got the confidence so I have to take that with me so I am happy with the goal and I definitely needed it for the confidence so I have to keep going and keep building on top of that.”
He also added that he is always prepared to provide for the team.
“I’m just obviously prepared no matter what the circumstances are. Whenever I start, whenever I am on the bench, still the same thing anyway, just make sure I am ready if I am on the bench, and then if I start, make sure I provide for the team and get some goals.”
