The Headmaster of Sefwi Aprutu Anglican primary and Kindergarten school in the Akontombra District of Western North region, Mr Bismark Appiah has expressed his dissatisfaction with the manner in which his school pupils have started ceasing to attend school.
He said due to the failure on the side of the school feeding caterer, Mrs Diana Nyarko to cook for the children for almost a week has prevented the children to come to school which has reduced enrollment drastically and also affecting teaching and learning.
Mr. Bismark Appiah, highlighted on some of the challenges they are facing at the school such as desks deficit, deplorable state of their classrooms that has also been reported to the authorities in the district but nothing has been done.
According to him, the pupils have to siphon stagnant waters in the classroom when it rains before class begins.
Moreover, the preliminary investigations conducted on the reasons the caterer has stopped cooking revealed that, due to financial matters that she hasn’t been paid for more than seven months whiles she was incurring losses
